Marines from 2nd Combat Engineer Battalion place C-4 high explosives on a tree during a fell stranding timber demolition range at Fort A.P. Hill, Va., Aug. 14, 2015. The Marines brought down eight trees using high explosives in order to train on one method of obstacle creation and area clearing as part of the battalion’s deployment for training exercise to enhance their basic infantry and engineer skills in preparation for upcoming deployments.
