Marines with Charlie Battery, 1st Battalion, 10th Marine Regiment, fire the first round of the day out of an M777A2 howitzer, during a gunnery precision and calibration exercise at Camp Lejeune, N.C., Dec. 15, 2015. The Marines conducted the training to solidify team cohesion and enhance their readiness to complete live-fire missions in preparation for Exercise Cold Response 16. Cold Response 16 is a multinational, Norwegian-led exercise that prepares more than 15,000 troops from 16 countries for support and combat operations in harsh conditions while working together to create stronger bonds between the allied forces.
