BANI DAHRI, Iraq (July 13, 2005)- Lance Cpl. Raphael P. Ramos, 21, from Carolina, Puerto Rico and a squad automatic weapon gunner with 1st Squad, 3rd Platoon, Company K, 3rd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, Regimental Combat Team-2 patrols through a wadie in the city during Operation Quick Strike. The 2003 Ana Roque High School graduate is making his first deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and has decided to continue his career and become a Marine Corps officer.
