Chief Petty Officer Jesus O. Santiago leans in to give his son, honorary Chief Petty Officer Diego E. Santiago, a word of encouragement before Diego's pinning ceremony at the Jacksonville, N.C. United Service Organization building. Diego has been diagnosed with terminal cancer, and his promotion ceremony was organized by the Camp Lejeune Chief Petty Officer Association as a show of moral support for the Santiago family.
