CAMP HURRICANE POINT, Ar Ramadi, Iraq (April 5, 2005) -Eighteen-year-old Pfc. Andrew J. Juraska, mortar man, 2nd Platoon, Company W, 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, from Phoenix shakes hands with his battalion commander, Lt. Col. Eric M. Smith, after being awarded the Purple Heart at a ceremony in the conference room here. The 2004 Paradise Valley High School graduate was hit in the inner, right thigh by shrapnel from an enemy mortar. Despite his wounds, Juraska returned to full duty the following after being injured.
