FALLUJAH, Iraq - 1st. Lt. Anthony Mercado, Company C, 1st Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment's executive officer, observes as an Iraqi soldier shakes hands and speaks with teachers outside a school here May 12. 1st Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment is currently working with Iraqi Security Forces to conduct 'Operation Blackboard,' a joint civil-military mission during which Iraqi soldiers re-supply Fallujah's schools and continue winning the citizens' trust.
