CAMP RAMADI, Iraq (March 3, 2005) -- Corporal Sam Heng, training non commissioned officer for training and operations, Headquarters and Service Company, 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, points at several cards spread out on a green military cot. The 22-year-old Cambodian from Seattle often entertains fellow Marines on their downtime with his card tricks, which makes him popular among many Marines in his unit. Lance Cpl. Jordan F. Evans, 21, of Rome, Ga., both riflemen with H&S Company, 1/5, watch Heng perform. Heng taught himself two card tricks on his first deployment to Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom. He honed his skills during OIF 2 and puts them to good use entertaining other Marines on his third deployment in support of OIF. 1st Battalion, 5th Marines are in Ramadi on a seven-month deployment where they are conducting security and stabilization operations and training the Iraqi Security Forces.(Official United States Marine Corps photo by Cpl.
