The wife of Cpl. Phillip Berger, a rifleman with Headquarters Company, 2nd Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, examines an M249 Squad Automatic Weapon during a Jane Wayne Day hosted by the regiment May 11. The event gave insight into how their Marines spend each day and tought them aspects of the Marine Corps. Mrs. Berger had never seen a SAW before, but was curious because her husband mentioned the weapon quite often.::r::::n:: “It’s not as big as I thought it would be,” she said when she got to see the weapon.
