Lieutenant Colonel Eric P. Tee

LtCol Tee is a native of Ithaca, New York. He graduated from Colgate University in Hamilton, NY and commissioned in the Marine Corps via the Platoon Leaders Course in 2002.

Following The Basic School and ground intelligence officer training pipeline, LtCol Tee was assigned to Battalion Landing Team 1st Battalion, 6th Marines as a Rifle Platoon Commander on the 22d Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) in 2003. His MEU deployed in 2004, part of which was spent ashore conducting combat operations throughout the Uruzgon Province, Afghanistan. Upon the return from the MEU deployment, he was reassigned within 1/6 as the Scout Sniper Platoon Commander. He deployed to Fallujah, Iraq in 2005. He completed his tour with 1/6 as the Assistant Intelligence Officer.

In August 2006, LtCol Tee attended Expeditionary Warfare School. Upon graduation, he was assigned as the Officer-in-Charge of the Scout Sniper Instructor School in Quantico from May 2007 to May 2009.

From 2009 to 2010, LtCol Tee reported to 3d Intelligence Battalion in Okinawa and served as the HQ Company Commander. He then deployed to Afghanistan from 2010 to 2011 as an individual augment with the I MEF (Forward) G-2 while serving as an intelligence officer on the Regional Command (SW) operations watch floor.

Upon return from the deployment in 2011, LtCol Tee was reassigned to 3d Reconnaissance Battalion. He initially served as the Alpha Company Commander and then went on to serve as the Battalion Operations Officer.

In 2012, LtCol Tee transitioned to Plans, Policies, and Operations to serve as the Reconnaissance Advocate. Upon completion of his HQMC tour in 2015, he attended the Marine Corps Command and Staff College.

From 2016 to 2018, LtCol Tee served as the intelligence officer for the 26th MEU. He helped provide Defense Support to Civil Authorities missions to Puerto Rico and US Virgin Islands in 2017 following a historic hurricane season. His MEU then deployed to the Mediterranean and Middle East in 2018. Upon completion of his deployment, he transitioned to the Marine Corps Intelligence Activity and served as its Operations Officer from 2018 to 2021.

LtCol Tee earned two master's degree, one with distinction in Masters of Military Studies at Marine Corps University and another with honors in Strategic Intelligence at American Military University. He is also a Fellow from the Seminar XXI Fellowship by Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is married to the former Cerissa Mason of Alexandria, Virginia. They have one son, Tristan (13 years) and one daughter, Temple (11 years).
