Your Faith Matters

People of faith would agree that firmly-held religious and moral beliefs are not something you can put on a shelf. They are part of who you are and what you represent. As a Marine and Sailor in our Nation's military force, this is no different. The benefits of a nurtured faith are countless, no matter what tradition you adhere to, from character development and toughness to resiliency.

“My Faith Matters” is an effort put together by the Chaplains and RP’s of 2D Marine Division to encourage Sailors and Marines within our ranks to step forward and help lead their brothers and sisters in the ways of faith. The Chaplain cannot be everywhere, all the time. So, in order to assist their efforts, Lay Leaders step forward in the field and in deployed environments, when and where it matters most.

Lay Leader Program

Do you desire to make your faith a more central part of your life in the military, and help others do the same? Are you looking for leadership opportunities to set you above your peers?

Lay Leaders are leaders in volunteerism, have high moral character, motivation, sincere religious interest and a letter of certification by the appointee's religious organization.

If you are motivated, and would like to step up to the call, contact your CHAPLAIN to schedule a meeting to discuss the Lay Leader program.
