Inspector General

Who we are

The Command Inspector General's mission is to ensure allegations of fraud, waste, abuse, mismanagement, misconduct, and whistleblower reprisal are properly recorded and routed for action by the appropriate office or agency; to provide assistance services and referrals for non-IG matters.

Division Hotline

The 2d Marine Division Hotline program is established in accordance with Department of Defense and the Secretary of the Navy Hotline policies designed to focus efforts to combat fraud, waste, and mismanagement throughout 2d Marine Division.  The Command Inspector General's Office will inquire into non-criminal, non-frivolous, and substantive allegations submitted in a timely manner that violate a law, rule, regulation, or standard where no other recourse or process is available related to our mission, as stated above.

Instances of suspected fraud, waste, abuse, mismanagement and misconduct are reported by navigating to:  https://hotline.usmc.mil.  Complaints may also be reported via the 2d Marine Division "Hotline" by calling 910-451-8047.  Complaints can be made 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Detailed instructions on how to report complaints are provided upon calling the hotline.

The hotline is open to all personnel regardless of either military or civilian.  Complainants can receive confidentiality but may remain anonymous.  The Hotline link allows complainants the opportunity to remain either anonymous or confidential.  Complainants are encouraged to provide full disclosure of information without fear of reprisal.
