CAMP SNAKE PIT Ar Ramadi, Iraq (June 22, 2005) - Navy Lt. Aaron T. Miller, chaplain for 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment delivers the meditation during a memorial service held here June 22 in honor of Capt. John W. Maloney, the late leader of Company C. Maloney, a 37-year-old from Chicopee, Mass., was killed fighting terror in the city the evening of June 16 when an improvised explosive device exploded directly underneath his Humvee. Maloney was prior enlisted and had 18 years of dedicated service the Marine Corps under his belt when he paid the ultimate price.
