Camp Lejeune, NC -- MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. – U.S. Marines from 2d Marine Division will be celebrating the 83rd Anniversary of the Division with a battle colors rededication ceremony on Feb. 1, 2024.
Since its activation on Feb. 1, 1941, the 2d Marine Division has served with courage, distinction, and dedication in the far flung reaches of the globe. Marines and Sailors of the Division will celebrate the 83rd anniversary of the “Follow Me Division” to recognize over eight decades of exceptional service with a 5k formation run and a Battle Streamer Rededication Ceremony.
Media interested in attending the Rededication Ceremony should RSVP with 2d Marine Division Communication Strategy and Operations at 2dmardivontherecord@usmc.mil before 12 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2024. Attending media will meet a designated command representative at the Wilson Blvd. Gate at 12:30 p.m., on the day of the event, for escort to W.P.T Hill Field.
