MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. - Sergeant Brent Sheets, motor transport chief for Company B, 2nd Tank Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, left, is presented his Purple Heart Medal here Oct. 31. The 22-year-old Salisbury, N.C. native and fellow Marine, Lance Cpl. DeTreux to symbolize the transfer of authority during a change of command ceremony here Nov. 4. CAMP BLUE DIAMOND, RAMADI, Iraq - Seaman Leonard A. Mclean, a corpsman with Fourth Platoon, Second Squad, Battery L, Headquarters Battalion, 2d Marine Division was awarded the Purple Heart during a ceremony here Nov. 4th for injuries sustained after an improvised explosive device was detonated under his humvee. Mclean recovered from his injuries and is still conducting patrols daily in Ar Ramadi with his fellow Marines from his squad. Official U.S. Marine Corps photo by Sgt. Ryan S. Lyskawa a refrigeration repair technician with Communications Company, Headquarter Battalion, 2nd Marine Division stands among a long row of military air conditioners. Lyskawa maintains and repairs dozens of air conditioners and generators that keep the Division's Communications Company up and running. Lyskawa has taken on the role of a pseudo "Maytag Man" for Communications Company which provides the main conduit for all internet, phone and radio communications flowing into and out of Camp Blue Diamond which houses the 2nd Marine Division's Headquarters.
