AL ANBAR PROVINCE, Iraq- Marines with Lima Company, 3rd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment along with the Iraqi Security Force (ISF) conduct a dry practice run of the election at the JCC polling site for the Iraqi election. The Marines of 2d Marine Division conduct counter-insurgency operations with ISF to isolate and neutralize Anti Iraqi Forces; support development of ISF; support Iraqi reconstruction and democratic elections; and to facilitate the creation of secure environment that enables Iraqi self reliance and self government.::n::(U.S. Marine Corps photograph by Cpl Thomas D. CAMP BLUE DIAMOND, RAMADI, Iraq - Lance Cpl. Jason M. Crawford, a tactical data network specialist, with Headquarters Battalion, 2nd Marine Division is helping keep Marines in the region safe from both the insurgency and each other with the aid of the Blue Force Tracker. The global positioning system allows Crawford to monitor all administrative and logistical convoys traveling through the Al Anbar province. He uses the information he gathers from the tracking system to coordinate medical aid to Marines attacked by insurgents and to inform other Marines manning checkpoints and guard posts of the convoy's arrival in their area reducing the chance of mistaken identity. Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps Sgt. Maj. John L. Estrada addresses Marines from 10th Marine Regiment on the occasion of his visit here October 21. Estrada stressed the importance off-duty safety to the leathernecks, speaking about the tragedy of surviving combat only to face injury or death on liberty at home. Benson, battalion medical officer, 2d Battalion, 2d Marine Regiment, checks a patients leg during a sick call visit at the Battalion Aid Station on Camp Fallujah.
