MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. -- Cpl. Antonio Ramos, a fiscal clerk with the 2nd Marine Division, is responsible for handling hundreds of military travel claims utilizing the Defense Travel System, or DTS. The 26-year-old Bronx, N.Y., native says he gets much satisfaction taking care of Marines' administrative needs and showing them how to book their claims using this paperless system. - MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. -- Cpl. Mettlen, 20, a nuclear, biological and chemical defense specialist with 2nd Marine Division recently returned from a year-long deployment to Iraq. Justin Spurrier is a 21-year-old Green River, Wy., native and a radio operator with the Camp Lejeune, N.C.-based 5th Battalion, 10th Marine Regiment. Since enlisting in the Corps in 2004, the Green River High School graduate has been to California, North Carolina and Okinawa. Spurrier's unit is currently preparing for a deployment to Iraq next year. - MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. -- Lance Cpl. Over 1,300 Marines from the regiment participated. The artillery unit has been deployed to both Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom and many Marines and sailors in the regiment had been helped by the society. - MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. Mashburn, a Navy corpsman with Headquarters Battalion, 2nd Marine Division was an assistant petty officer in charge of the battalion aid station and a corpsman with the battalion's quick reaction force until he packed his bags and went to Fallujah to train members of the Iraqi army in medicine.
