MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. (April 6, 2006)- Petty Officer 1st Class Ronnie L. Mashburn, 32, a from Iron Station, N.C., recently returned from a yearlong deployment to Ar Ramadi, Iraq. Mashburn, a Navy corpsman with Headquarters Battalion, 2nd Marine Division was an assistant petty officer in charge of the battalion aid station and a corpsman with the battalion's quick reaction force until he packed his bags and went to Fallujah to train members of the Iraqi army in medicine. This was Mashburn's second deployment to Iraq. The first time was in 2003 with 2nd Battalion, 8th Marines. (Official U.S. Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl.
