AL ASAD, Iraq (February 26, 2005)- Sgt. Chris Whitman, 23, (right) a mortar team leader with Company L, 3rd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment has deployed to Iraq twice and once to Afghanistan. The Clearwater, Fla., native graduated Clearwater High School in 2000 after being in Marine Corps Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps in high school.
