CAMP AL QA'IM, Iraq (March 27, 2005)- Cpl. Robert B. Sherman, 32, a supply clerk with 3rd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment prepares to be baptized by fellow noncommissioned officer Sgt. Kendrick L. Mc Rae, who reads a passage from the Holy Bible, here at sunrise Easter Sunday. Sherman, a Erlanger, Ky., native decided he would make a public announcement of his faith and be baptized in front of his fellow Marines in Iraq. Sherman graduated from Heights High School in 1990 and Georgetown College in 1994. Sherman explained that it was important for him to be baptized in the same place where stories in the Bible take place. Official U.S. Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl. Lucian Friel (RELEASED)
