AR RAMADI, Iraq (April 11, 2005) - Marines with 2nd Squad, 1st Platoon, Company A, 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, are mirrored off Lance Cpl. Ruben S. Torres' sunglass while they ride through the streets here in an up-armored high-back Humvee. The 20-year-old rifleman from Ventura, Calif., and his fellow leathernecks with 2nd Squad, 1st Platoon, Company A, 1st Battalion, 5th Marines, have become familiar with their area of operations where they conduct security and stability operations almost daily. They've learned to recognize landmarks to help determine what particular street they're patrolling. First Battalion, 5th Marines are two months into their seven-month deployment here in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Photo by Cpl. Tom Sloan
