MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. - First Lieutenant Aaron C. Smithley, the executive officer for Company C, 2nd Tank Battalion, Regimental Combat Team 1, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, was presented with the Bronze Star Medal Monday. Smithley set an exceptionally high standard of performance, earning the admiration of his subordinates, peers and seniors alike.
