FALLUJAH, Iraq - Mario Franco, an interpreter with 1st Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, right, claps beside Lt. Col. William Jurney, the battalion's commander, during a ceremony at a school here May 31. Franco, a 32-year-old Baghdad native, is a combat veteran who has served with four U.S. military units in the area since 2004, and currently works as the battalion commander's interpreter.
