AR RAMADI Iraq (June 3,2005) - Positioned at a house here, an interpreter records on a note pad the message a nearby mosque is broadcasting over its loudspeakers during midday prayer. Second Lieutenant Austin P. Adams, platoon commander for 2nd Platoon, Company C, 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, kneels beside him. The 23-year-old from Arcadia, Calif., led Marines with 1st Squad, 2nd Platoon and seven members of the Iraqi Security Forces on a mission to listen to messages a mosque was broadcasting over its loudspeakers during midday prayer.
