THAR THAR REGION, Iraq - An Iraqi soldier provides security alongside Thar Thar Lake's shoreline June 18, as Marine amphibious assault vehicles patrol the beach. Iraqi soldiers worked alongside U.S. forces to conduct Operation Dagger, a five-day long effort to rid regions north of Fallujah of insurgent activity.
