THAR THAR REGION, Iraq - U.S. Army engineers use metal detectors to search for buried weapons and explosives throughout the desert regions north of Fallujah June 21. Army personnel assisted Marines and sailors from 1st Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment in conducting Operation Dagger, a five-day long effort to rid regions north of Fallujah of insurgent activity.
