CAMP AL QA'IM, Iraq (June 25, 2005)- Cpl. Matt Orth, a 22-year-old scout sniper with 3rd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment receives the Purple Heart from Gen. Nyland, the assistant commandant of the Marine Corps here June 25. The Clearwater, Fla., native received the Purple Heart for wounds received during attacks at Camp Gannon in Husaybah, Iraq, where he suffered a concussion and bruised ribs.
