AR RAMADI Iraq (July 16, 2005) - Corporal Christopher Bello, a military dog handler with 2nd Military Police Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, and his three-year-old German shepherd assist Marines with 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment in searching vehicles in the Al Anbar capital city July 14 during Operation Fire. Twenty-three-year-old Bello from Queens, NY., assisted Marines with 1st Battalion, 5th Marines as they stopped traffic in various parts of the city and conducted vehicle and personnel searches during the three-hour operation, which netted the capture of seven insurgents.
