CAMP HURRICANE POINT Ar Ramadi, Iraq (July 29, 2005) - Lance Cpl. Shawn M. Gallagher, a military dog handler attached to 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, takes his partner, Youry, a four-year-old Belgium Malinois, on a run within the confines of the camp here July 29. Gallagher, 21, of Fairfax, Va., routinely exercises his dog to build up his stamina so he can work well in the Iraq heat. Gallagher and Youry deployed to Iraq from their duty station in Iwakuni, Japan in May and were attached to Camp Pendleton, Calif., -based 1st Battalion, 5th Marines in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
