SAQLAWIYAH, Iraq – Seaman Clarence Washington, a corpsman with 4th Platoon, Company A, 1st Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, provides security while patrolling the streets here July 27. The 26-year-old Caruthersville, Mo. native is one of several ‘docs’ who live and work alongside the infantrymen here, administering first aid in combat and treating acute illnesses.
