CAMP RIPPER, AL ASAD, Iraq (August 14, 2005)- A canine with the K-9 Corps detachment of Regimental Combat Team-2 jumps over an obstacle during a course here. The canines with RCT-2 play an important role in combat operation in the Al Anbar province of Iraq, searching for weapons caches, improvised explosive devices and other weapons, escorting detainees and searching houses, cars and open areas for contriband.
