A sign of the rules of the gym along with pictures of Staff Sgt. Kendall H. Ivy II, the Marine who the gym was named have been placed around the gym. The gym opened in August and has been a place of relaxation for those who need to work off the stress of being a combat zone. Ivy who died during Operation Matador was a well-known Marine for those working with Regimental Combat Team-2 and is often described him as the poster child for a true Marine.
