NEAR LAKE THARTHAR, Iraq (Jan. 8, 2006) - Lance Cpl. Chad D. Whitesitt, a Post Falls, Idaho native and mortarman for Mobile Assault Company, 3rd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment provides security as Marines operate in a village nearby Jan. 8. The company-sized operation called Operation Long Horn, had Marines of the company searching remote areas of Western Al Anbar Province not previously traveled to by U.S. Forces.
