MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. - Captain John Skutch, a Marine with 2nd Reconnaissance Battalion, recovers from a muddy landing and observes fellow Marines land onto Drop Zone Plover here Jan. 30 after parachuting out of a helicopter. Several of the battalion's Marines and sailors practiced jumping out of a helicopter while wearing the SF10-A parachute, a model that replaced the older MT11 and features superior maneuverability along with a slower rate of descent.
