MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. (April 6, 2006)- Petty Officer 1st Class Ronnie L. Mashburn, 32, a from Iron Station, N.C., recently returned from a yearlong deployment to Ar Ramadi, Iraq. Mashburn, a Navy corpsman with Headquarters Battalion, 2nd Marine Division was an assistant petty officer in charge of the battalion aid station and a corpsman with the battalion's quick reaction force until he packed his bags and went to Fallujah to train members of the Iraqi army in medicine.
