Stacey N. Sprenz, the wife of Gunnery Sgt. Mark A. Sprenz, stands next to her target after firing the M9 service pistol. Sprenz, a 34-year-old from Kansas City, Mo. was participating in the unit's Jane Wayne Day, an annual event designed to give the wives of Marines an idea of the daily life of their husband. The wives were able to shoot the service pistol and rifle, ride in a tank and amphibious assault vehicle, and get hands on with static displays of machine guns, tank extractors, and other equipment used in the daily life of a Marine.
