Lance Cpl. Eric R. Steele, 21, from Elkin, N.C., loads his M203 grenade launcher before stepping out on patrol with soldiers from 1st Brigade, 3rd Battalion, 1st Iraqi Army Division. Steele is the junior advisor for Company 2 and works side by side with the soldiers to improve their fighting capabilities. He is part of the Military Transition Team, which originated from 3rd Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment.
