Lance Cpl.’s Andrew M. Adams (left) and Joseph A. Lourenco look through their armored windows at the area around their post while on duty at Observation Post Burgess, located within the city of Fallujah, on May 16. Surrounded by large cement barriers with sandbag-sealed windows to prevent unnecessary advances from insurgent activity, Marines with Company E, 2nd Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, Regimental Combat Team 6, live and work out of the OP to ultimately maintain order within their designated area of operation. Adams, a Duncan, S.C. native is a machine gunner and Lourenco, an East Hanover, N.J. native, is a mortarman, both with Company E.
