Capt. John Allsup, commanding officer, Company I, 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, Regimental Combat Team 6, addresses a crowd of children Oct. 22 at a primary school in Zaidon, Iraq. Allsup's Marines, along with Iraqi policemen led by Zaidon's chief of police and mayor, Lt. Col. Ishmael, delivered the school supplies and food bags as a gesture of goodwill at the end of Ramadan. Ishmael was appointed in the traditional method by a committee of sheiks in mid-October.
