Filippo Travisany, a mortarman with Charlie Company, Task Force 1st Battalion, 4th Marines, Regimental Combat Team 2, watches the American flag lower during evening retreat. Travisany, an Italian immigrant, immigrated to the United States on a college scholarship and now serves the country he wishes to be part of one day.
