AL TAQADDUM, Iraq (Dec. 5, 2007) ? Maj. Gen. W. E. Gaskin visits the Marines of Battery F, 2nd Battalion, 14th Marine Regiment, to hear their feelings on one of the Marine Corps? newest weapon systems. These reservists out of Oklahoma are the first Marine Corps unit to utilize the new HIMARS weapon system in Iraq. This weapons system can fire all current and future missiles that fall under the multiple launch rocket system munitions family. Gaskin is the commanding general of Multi National Force-West.
