U.S. Navy Lt. John P. Walsh, 28, the officer-in-charge of Dental Detachment 08-02, 2nd Combat Logistics Battalion based at Camp Korean Village, Iraq, performs a dental exam on Lance Cpl. Sam Genovese, a 24-year-old Reserve Marine with Headquarters and Service Company, 2nd Battalion, 25th Marine Regiment, Regimental Combat Team 8. Genovese, a Plymouth, Mass. native, is serving as an operations clerk in the battalion’s command operations center. Genovese plans to enter the New York State police academy when he returns home in the spring.
