The family of Lance Cpl. Jordan Haerter stands during the Navy Cross ceremony at the National Museum of the Marine Corps Feb. 20. Haerter was killed in action while defending his post in Ramadi, Iraq, April 22, 2008, against a suicide bomber. To date 27 Navy Crosses have been awarded in the Long War.
