During the 2nd Battalion 9th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, memorial service, there were displays in honor of the 14 Marines and one sailor who lost their lives while deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. After the service, families and friends came up to the memorials and paid their respects Feb. 28, 2011, aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, N.C.
