A lone shell casing lies in the sand at a firing range during a training evolution prior to deployment. Petty Officer 3rd Class Avery Alejandro, the preventative medicine specialist with 2nd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, 2nd Marine Division (Forward), took this photo, titled “Police Call.” He hopes to one day go to the Tisch School of Photography in New York City once his enlistment end next year to become a freelance photographer.
