First Lt. Lear Williams (front right), a New Orleans, La., native and Afghan Border Police team advisor with 2nd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, 2nd Marine Division (Forward), works with members of the ABP to identify potential targets moving in the distance. The Afghan Border Police provided the Marines an unparalleled knowledge of the area as well as a cultural relevance with the local civilians.
