The weapons on an M-1A1 “Abrams” Main Battle Tank point toward the night sky. The Marines with 1st Tank Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, are the first to roll tanks into Afghanistan. The unit has played a huge roll in the successful completion of Route 611. The paved road is now a logistics route from Camp Leatherneck to several other outposts and bases and allows local residents a means of transporting goods to market centers. ::r::::n::::r::::n::::r::::n::
