Northport, Long Island, N.Y., native Seaman Darryl St. George, a corpsman with 2nd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, was a student at Marymount Manhattan College when the World Trade Center was attacked Sept. 11, 2001. His experience on that day changed his priorities, helping him to define his college degree in history and instilling a desire to serve his country.
