Marines with Company C, 2nd Assault Amphibian Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, splash on Onslow Beach in an amphibious assault vehicle during the amphibious assault training conducted at Onslow Beach aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, N.C., Oct. 12. Throughout the training, the AA Bn. was supported by the USS Ponce, an Austin-class amphibious transport dock named for Ponce, Puerto Rico, a city in the commonwealth of Puerto Rico.
