Staff Sgt. Robert J. Dawson II, amphibious raids instructor, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, receives an award during a banquet celebrating the USO North Carolina's 70 anniversary. Dawson was one of many who represented each individual branch of the U.S. military. The award was given for his excellence in duties in both Iraq and Afghanistan.
