Maj. Stephen J. Taylor, commanding officer of Headquarters Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, Camp Lejeune, N.C., receives the Republic of Georgia Ministry of Defense Award from Georgian Lt. Col. Lasha Beridze, deputy chief of defense, Republic of Georgia Ministry of Defense, during a ceremony at Marine Corps Security Cooperation Group, Virginia Beach, Va., on Dec. 13, 2011. Taylor received the award "for outstanding support and dedication which contributed greatly to the overall success of the 3rd Georgian Brigade's mission in Afghanistan" from February to August 2011 while deployed to Afghanistan with Regimental Combat Team 2.
