Marines with Echo Company, 2nd Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, patrol a ridgeline running along the southern Musa Qal’eh riverbed as the sun peeks over the horizon in the distance. The Marines with the company spent the first four days of Operation Double Check clearing compounds and other areas during raids performed at night and in the early morning hours.
